SUMMER CAMP FOR GIRLS/BOYS AGED 14 TO 18

The sailing summer camp organized by the sports club Boma Sailing together with Pura Vida sailing team is a unique experience for kids aged 14 to 18, an adventure dedicated to discovery, education and fun at sea. During a week aboard a sailing cabin cruiser, kids will live an unforgettable experience between sailing, sailing school, educational activities and moments of pure relaxation and fun.
The sailing summer camp perfectly combines the needs of kids with those of parents;

The former are looking for fun and new discoveries and will be satisfied and fascinated by getting to know a world made of sea, swimming and new friends, as well as learning “adult” things that many adults don’t know how to do; they feel grown up.
Parents want their children to be safe, happy and at the same time engaged in constructive activities.

The sailing boat makes all this possible.

In addition to technical and sporting growth, this experience will teach kids the value of teamwork, collaboration and respect for the sea. Living on board means learning to share spaces (not like at home 🤣), managing and organizing crew tasks and facing the challenges of navigation with team spirit and responsibility.
It is an experience that will also contribute to their personal growth.

🌊 Ready to set sail for an unforgettable adventure? The sea awaits you! ⛵

Participation fee 690€/person for 7 days on the boat.

Family discount 10% (sisters, brothers and cousins).

We come from a twenty-year experience of training and managing school cruises with girls/boys of all ages, also in collaboration with state schools.
Under the guidance of expert and certified instructors, the kids will learn the basics of sailing and navigation and all those maneuvers necessary to manage what is a real floating house: sailing lessons; basic notions of nautical charts, charting and orientation; use of the radio and on-board instruments; knots.
They will also learn to collaborate and share the spaces and equipment of the boat, always attentive to safety and respect for others and will alternate in all on-board activities, whether educational or organizational of life on board.

And we must not forget one of the moments most desired by the kids: the “social” dinner halfway through the cruise, a group pizza in Ventotene or Ponza, depending on the weather and availability.

In addition to the Skipper/Instructor, with qualifications and certifications, there will be a support/coordination assistant for life on board and non-technical activities.

The activities will take place on board the twins Josefina e Ulisse, comfortable and spacious Beneteau Cyclades 50.5 with 5 double cabins and 3 bathrooms. On board, of course, all the safety equipment required by law.

All in the magnificent setting offered by the Pontine Islands: Ponza, Ventotene and Palmarola; true paradises just around the corner.
Not just technical training however, the camp will also offer recreational and fun activities, with swimming in breathtaking bays, snorkeling and evenings under the stars.

Summer camp end: Last day of sailing back to Marina di Nettuno: mooring, arrangement and cleaning of the boat. Disembarkation at 16:00.

Definitely not. We are here to teach kids the techniques of sailing and navigation to get them passionate about this beautiful activity.

Those who already do sailing will be able to improve their skills and get to know the world of cabin cruisers.

You don’t have to be a great swimmer, but you should at least be able to stay afloat, calmly, without the aid of floats.

The boats are equipped with all the legal equipment and the skippers/instructors are experts in crew management and safety itself.

A briefing will be held with the kids specifically on safety on board: what to do and how to move but above all what not to do and how not to move. The kids are normally very receptive and in a short time they are able to manage themselves independently in safety.

By car SS 148 Pontina, exit Velletri-Nettuno-Campoverde (3rd exit for Nettuno), once in Nettuno follow the signs for the port. By train Roma Termini – Nettuno about an hour. Once you exit the Nettuno station go straight for about 350 meters and go down the stairs that lead to the marina.

Any allergies or food intolerances do not in any way preclude participation in the school camp. They must be reported in advance so that we can take all the necessary precautions and organize ourselves in the best possible way. If deemed necessary, families can provide additional food and/or tools.

It is mandatory to present a medical certificate for non-competitive sports activities.

If the boy/girl is undergoing medical treatments that require the intake of regularly prescribed medications, a specific authorization for their administration will be required.
